Zebra Birthday Cake

I made this cake for Erin's sister, Lauren. I was excited to try this zebra print look, and I Love how it turned out! For being only my 4th Fondant experiment, I think it turned out pretty well! It was kinda sad to drop the cake off without seeing how Lauren reacted to it, but I heard she loved it! Triple layer 8 inch base, with double layer 6 inch top. Red velvet with cream cheese frosting filling. Found out it was a lot of cake for the 15 guests, and would probably feed about 25-30 people.

Lilly's baby blessing cake

So, my niece was blessed the first week in October, and I asked my Sis. in law if I could do a cake for her blessing. I was SO excited with how it turned out. This was my first attempt at the bow on top, and I love it!

Be Strong Cake

So, for Young Women in Excellence I decided to rope in the other leaders for help in creating this cake. Marilyn made with temple on top with her sisters, we had the leaders come over a week before to work on their additions. We each made something that reminded us of 'being strong and of good courage' which was the theme for this year and the theme for the night. We've got a lion, tree of life, hands praying, scriptures, the yw flags with the value colors, and the yw logo, a ctr shield and sword. The leaders were such great sports for doing it! The cake was really a challenge, it was square which I've never covered square and it was 10 & 8 in layers.

Addie's Strawberry Shortcake Cake

This was my second fondant attempt. However, they are iced in buttercream with all the fondant stipes, balls, and strawberries. I learned a lot with this cake, doubling the layers is necessary. I also only had a 9 in. instead of 8, so it's a 10, 9, 6 inch layered cake.

McKenna's 1st birthday

She got 2 cakes this year! A ladybug for the Brinkerhoff side, and my first fondant cake for Kenna's and Camryn's combined party. I was so proud of myself for my first fondant attempt!

Ellie's 5th birthday

Ellie wanted a crown cake this year. This was my first time using fondant, I just used the store bought fondant to cut out the flowers on the cake. It's frosted in pink buttercream.
